I remember this one guy who was always online. By no means were we close. Just decent friends I guess. One day he stopped coming online and ever since then it’s made me realise that people can come and go just like that. I try to make the most of the time I have with my friends and that whole story is the reason why I use the name ‘Stress’ as a secondary IGN (named after him).
I fucking hate that I’m not in contact with everyone on the server. Rarely, I’ll just be up at night thinking about all the amazing memories I made on EC. All the people I met. God, it sucks to think that most of it is gone. I was 12 when I joined the server and now I’m 18.Honestly though, if it wasn’t for Minecraft I wouldn’t have found the desire to create videos. Sure, most of what I’ve made is usually just shit post memes, but it’s something that I enjoy. I’m finally able to create somewhat decent montages, amvs and edits of LoL gameplay all thanks to years of just getting to understand Sony Vegas and that all happened because my original desire at the age of 12 was to make financial gain through becoming a Minecraft Youtuber. Lol. Thinking about it now, I don’t care about the money when creating videos. It makes me so happy to create something and share it with friends. Getting more views than expected is such a wonderful feeling.
The last thing I’ll say is that it really inspires me to see that, even years after, there’s still somewhat of a small community left. It feels as if a few people don’t want to let go and I praise them for that because, well, letting go sucks.
Going online expecting all of my friends to be on there. Half the time, I wouldn’t even be doing anything in MC, I’d just be talking in the chat. I know it’s fucking cliche and cringey, but EC was that one place where I could talk to people and not be lonely.

I’m seriously disappointed in everything I see in this thread. Not only at the abuse that the Admins display, but at the fact that people would turn on their former friends. Whatever this new server is. Whatever this new ‘community’ is. It is not EC.
