Thread necromancy is bad, people should never do it.
I miss GodProxy and Takoballball, I miss everyone from my town too, I miss Born and Skillz, I miss all the old towns and their residents, I miss Blue Sky Mines (I really thought that city would stand forever) I miss stirring the pot and causing trouble, I miss being generous to and giving out donorship to GodProxy just because he brought a smile to my face, I miss harassing people who build their dirt shacks in the wilderness ***JOIN A TOWN*** and surrounding their dirt shacks in 20 stacks TNT and various lava/water traps that would be triggered the moment they logged in… O_o
It’s been much longer than a month for me, I’ve been gone far too long, wish I had come back sooner,
I probably would have bought the server just for nostalgia…But I guess even if I had come back a month ago Blue Sky Mines would have been either destroyed or wiped anyway
I still think of you guys now and then, remembering the good times.
I was there when Born took over, wish I could have been there when the doors closed too.Also missing bows and arrows
Also missing: Ghast Tear, and flowerpots would be nice, they’re a pain to make.
Had another look, seems to certainly be in the vicinity of X 1479 Y 68 Z -488 something in that area is causing massive lag, i dug straight down from that location, but there’s nothing unusual underground there.
If there’s anything the admin can do I would really appreciate it, I’m holding off on getting a new shop and donor until it can be fixed… But i may end up getting a world edit token or two to move my shop to a new location instead ><

Trying to get a moderator who helped you banned is an incredibly dumb thing to do, especially since he’s the one who tried to get you unbanned for when you were using XRay…
Also, you’ve provided no proof he uses your account.

There won’t be any split between cracked and premium in 1.7.8, you’ve just come to the wrong conclusion on your own there.
When EC eventually updates to 1.8 both premium and cracked will still be able to play it.
And it’s doubtful born will update the server to the 1.7.8 he’d likely wait until then next major patch (1.8) before updating… Just FYI-

If I get any spare time after work, I’ll fly around the map to get a list of towns that are abandoned, specifically ones that never got sponged during the previous wilderness wipe yet are still claimed, I think I’ve seen two or three at least. Considering that no one has complained about those towns already being wiped, might as well get admin to force abandon them anyway, to free up some land.
This is something I’ve thought about for a while, the main problem is the towns that are inactive.
The ease of getting gold with automatic farms in the past months has made all these little towns appear, the owners log on for 2 or 3 days, build a town, put a kajillion dollars in the bank to keep it active forever and then never play again. These ones have no good builds in them and should be edited back to wilderness and abandoned after a month of inactivity.
Then there’s the super-massive towns that have become inactive over time (I live in one) these should not be destroyed, as much hard work has been put into them. I was thinking maybe we could have like a museum server where the good towns go, but then it probably wouldn’t get much traffic, and a server that no one can really do anything on is kind of a waste of hardware.
Heh, maybe move the massive towns to the end, plenty of space there.
Note: I said two years, that’s an estimate, no idea how old the server is…
Skills, it goes from bedrock to near height limit and takes up 6 plots, to separate it into 30 block tall chunks and retain functionality would take up roughly 50 to 60 plots, probably more since it was made not conforming to chunk sizes.
Due to the unimplemented rules about upkeep I had to abandon 50% of my town because I was lead to believe the rule would be implemented, and I would not have been able to cover the costs of all those plots, simply put I don’t have the room for it, and more importantly 60 plots of farms would be an eyesore.And even more importantly, why would I do that now when these new rules show that nothing is protected anymore, there’s no land security or any indication that my land is going to remain as it is, its 30 blocks tall this month, what will it be next month? What about other buildings? Will my nether tower be decreed too tall one day? Where has my town protection gone?
Up until now I had faith my town would remain untouched and protected for as long as minecraft and eternal cracked exist as the only one who could modify it is me, that the towny protection plugin would protect it, that the admins would look after it if all else failed…
That’s all changed now, the previous sacrifices I made I did in duress and it turned out that I didn’t even need to do at all as the rules were not implemented. I could have kept Utopia and North and their great builds.
But it was ME who chose to sacrifice part of my town. Even if that sacrifice was in vain.
You’ve taken that control away from me this time, I have no choice, you’re going to start removing things from my town without my consent or permission. That is a drastic change.And you still don’t seem to understand how much this farm cost me, I literally spent over 100 hours ONE HUNDRED REAL HOURS making this farm, I poured more hours into than most people ever even play on this server, More hours than is spent building entire towns. I dug six plots from bedrock to sky, it was underwater do you have any idea how much work clearing 6 plots of water takes without creative, I demolished it and rebuilt it twice, The first day I joined the server, where did I start? the farm. This farm is over two years old, I say hundreds of people have used it, but its more likely thousands. So yes, when you take that away from me, I get angry, I get disappointed, I want to leave and scream and fight it.
