You see Mongus, an entity in Minecraft needs to be processed when it spawned and keep being processed which means more lag. If minecarts were to be enabled people would start stacking minecarts and make an infinity loop making it laggy for the server and the clients.
Entities = Lag
More Entities = More Lag
