So I heard upkeep increased and I think it already did. This is super horrible for mayors owning big towns (Aldin, Happytown etc.) Please leave the upkeep normal again I know its going to be a problem too. I own a town and its starting to get big :/. If your not going to remove it can you guys at least make it normal in a month or so? I know lots of towns will fall and in 1 month the best may stand.

The upkeep is goin’ to be $7/plot, which for a town of 100 blocks, its only $700/day, my town will only be maybe at best $140/day, thats a benefit to the smaller towns… Charge plot taxes from your members, it makes sense.

Thats sorta your fault for making a town so big like that I think they should keep it if e.g. Happytown wants to remain the biggest town then they will not care
Maybe we mayors can set town chat to $60 per day and we can tell them about the new town upkeep so they will try to deposit more to prevent the town from fallin

i suggest the upkeep must be 2500 and dont change
oh… I didn’t know that that’s how the upkeep is based. But I dont get why they would base it on that? Do they want the huge towns to fall? And make more little ones everywhere?
its good and easy for small towns and hard for the big once + its not 7$ per block is 10$ per plot .
so big towns like (Narnia,happytown,…….) should put taxs and unclaim the unneeded plots
received it from certified sources …

my town will be on the server forever i dont have very many plots and i only use my town for a couple of my friends and personal uses like my farms and shop sooo yeah
It’s just a higher upkeep. It ain’t much, well matters about the town.
i think the town price change to 70k was great and a change in upkeep is nice too.
my suggestion is that we maintain the 2500 base upkeep – so that small towns doesnt live forever – and add the 7 per plot tax – so that big towns doesnt live forever.
this will stimulate taxing, which was a feature the towny creators intended to exist and help to reduce inflation.
Stux yes thats correct town starting price has changed to 70k
and, in my opinion, assistants and mayor should pay taxes too. therefore they will think twice before setting scorching tax rates, thus protecting the poorer residents and avoiding economic inequality.
