AnonymousSiverbullet is impersonating me by using my Facebook Profile Picture as his Eternalcraft Profile Picture. This is illegal and a rule has been broken. Can a/an Moderator/Admin/Server-Manager/Server-Owner help me and do justice please?
It’s not really “Impersonation.” It’s definitely revealing someone’s personal information though, which, unless he had your consent, isn’t allowed.

– melee49’s privacy – the whole world now knows how melee49’s face look like, and that can threaten his security and privacy.
– copyright and plagiarism policies – taking images without owner’s consent is considered copyright infringement, can be dealt by the law seriously. Even if the picture is taken from Google, Google images are just a collection of images, and the original source must still be acknowledge.
So, what action will be taken against him?

And do i have to remove the picture? i found it on the internet melee put it on the internet for EVERYONE to see.Actually melee didn’t put it on there. Google grabbed the image from sources all over internet. It grabs every image. Search my name, and you’ll find my profile picture from EC’s forum in google images. So no melee didn’t put it there intentionally, it’s just google. That still doesn’t give you the right to use it without his permission.

He put it on the internet but not with the intention for everybody to see and defenitely not to have it copied by other people, and that surely not without his permission either.
Technically if you put it on Facebook then anybody can grab it for use. But that is no excuse to put it on ec forums. That was a bit immature of you
Nobody can grab it for use unless you say so. Most people place their picture on facebook so others can recognize them easier, not to have their picture used by random people.
As I see this, it is an exposure of personal information. However, I don’t see this listed in the rules nor ever enforced before.
But I am not sure if it is illegal or not. It is better that you remove the picture though.
