Help getting started!

I just logged into the server I have registered and set up my password and email but I am unable to play when i run to the area where the different worlds are survivial, creative, arenas it just knocks me back and says “you are not permitted to enter this area”. I have look all over this website and cant find anything on this problem. Any ideas?
