As everyone is aware, ADCKnight has withdrawn his wings over utopia. I’d like to request from the server administration team to set a protection set over this server legacy. It is an unparalleled work of art in part of it. It saddens me every login to see people dumpster diving for material there and honestly, I feel this is not the way we should repay Knatcharn, one of the greatest town mayors of EC’s heydays. Despite his inactivity, we as a server should owe him at least that much to save this legacy and preserving it.

I think so, too. I believe that Utopia is awesome. I’ve been to that warp a lot of times, and it always make me amazed on how much work Knatcharn and ADCKnight went through to make this wonderful town. And for you who don’t know the full damage, well, look.

Guys, ive decided to claim this town! If born could still roll it back that would be nice!
We will be preserving and rolling back this town. If Knatcharn; one of the original owners doesn’t want it back, then we will find another proper owner for the town.

ive always wanted that town :((The problem with Utopia is that I was inactive for several months, and when I returned one or several wilderness wipes had occurred, and large parts of Utopia (around half of the city) were reclaimed by wilderness, you can see this dramatically near /warp Utopia where there is now a massive cliff where the spawn was. I saw this and thought it was time to let it go, I did my best to preserve it but in the end nature won and reclaimed the city.
To roll it back you’d have to find a version of the server from around 10 months ago when Utopia originally fell, as that was its most intact state. But even then there were some chunk errors…
Some restoration by hand would be needed, and it was a big city and had several unfinished projects.
Also, if you look at the dynamic map, you’ll see there is almost 0 unclaimed land in the area immediately surrounding /spawn… having Utopia be wiped might be good for real estate which is becoming harder to come by. (Is Upkeep working? Doesn’t seem to be)
Up keep was turn off by like 2 – 3 weeks by born because of money transfer new money plugin. Towny tax daily was turned off but now it was on back since u came backk……
