Slik touch not working?

so today i was mining and after weeks of searching i found a spawner (zombie) Now Skills641 Broke it for me with my silk touchI pickaxe and the spawner disappeared why is this? Shouldnt it drop if we used silk touch?

There is no way of getting a spawn with out using commands/plugins or an invintory editor.

I only thought it was broken because another served i played on aloud silk touch to drop it, Im sorry for my misunderstand of how its works on this server.

This is who it works on all most every server and single player.
