(if you get the optifine only file after you download it rename it to minecraft)

Install Steps:

Windows: Press Start and Search Up  %appdata% ,Then open .minecraft ,Then open up bin ,then replace the minecraft.jar you downloaded with the one in the folder

Mac: Don’t Know “Yet”

 

I’ve Been told By a lot of players that they don’t know how to install optifine and is pain trying to explain So here it is hope it helps

It automatically updates to the latest Version of Minecraft, kinda like with servers
