						<p>There&#8217;s going to be many angry responses to this.</p>
<p>I believe hoppers need to be nerfed so they don&#8217;t pick up melons (or anything that can /sell).</p>
<p>The price of melons was set before hoppers made making automatic melon farms possible, right now you could theoretically make millions per week while offline.<br />
The old style melon farms that needed manual activation required some effort and time to collect them all off of the ground, and required you to be online of course.<br />
You had to actually work for the money, not just collect your money after logon.</p>
<p>Plus the massive amounts of redstone being used in conjunction hoppers being used as pipes <strong>could</strong> be responsible for the recent lag.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s gotten to the point where donor shops are no longer a viable source of income, I&#8217;m considering closing my store and converting my 6000 piston farm into an autofarm.</p>

						<p>I do agree, but a handful of people(me) use a sorting system for our items which involve hoppers, I intend to always to use my hopper system for countless other machines. I don&#8217;t use the idea of the automatic hopper farming. I think we can reduce lag if they make a the clock last a lot longer using the hopper clock(Search it up), It gives a redstone pulse every 8-10 minutes.</p>

						<p>THe reason people are building their melon farms near spawn its because people actually need to be there for dem melons to grow and for the redstones to activate. Since towns like mine is so far away, i actually need to be online and need to be near there. </p>

						<p>I have mixed feelings on this. As much as yes its unfair to those that are not near spawn to have to constantly maintain the melon farms, I would also say it would not be fair if it was nerfed for those who have already used their time to build the farms in spawn. Maybe a solution in between. </p>

<p>the reason i made a mellon farm btw mine at spawn was the original i created that design on singe player so everyone just kinda copied me</p>
<p>i new it wass going to be a problem sooner or layter</p>
<p>but the reason i made one was because in the verry beginning i thout shops where stupid and i could make more money on my own thats why i never open a shop</p>
<p>but its not like you just get on and have money it takes me a good hour+ to clear out all thoes chest manualy theres over 100+ dubble chest that i have to clear out every morning its alote more tedios than you think</p>
<p>btw you wouldt be complaining if you also had a mellon farm</p>

<p>that was one of the main reason people wanted hoppers in the beginning</p>
<p>to take away hoppers abuility to hop mellon carrots etc would take away that reason and you might as well just disable them again</p>
