I can solve that problem in a jiffy. That problem has insufficient information. The information on how much by how much the board has to be present. For example x by y centimeters. Once we have found how much how much the board is. We must then use a ruler and draw a line as tall as the thingy is and as much wide as the thingy is. After that we will get the answer. That answer will be something like. x being the area in a square, and x – y, y being the extra area(white area) we got. Because of that we will get an answer of x – y = b, b representing the area. Done :)

Then you take the sum minus the the 4 pie.
