Your a good player IVI4STER (or at least I’ve heard)…but seriously I know people who’ve taken longer just to be mod (like 2 years worth of time). That shouldn’t be a valid reason to you quitting. It takes a lot more time than you think and a lot of experience that you MUST pick up on the way.

Wilderness destroyed, wish they would revert that so its all brand new
World is too small-They just extended the border a bit more…

I wish you would rethink coming back but if you must feel the urge to leave then I wish you luck on any other server you play on. But again with that third reason, you’ll be quitting a lot of server then since all servers take a long time to be a moderator.

Even if you have been on EC for a long time, the reason why you haven’t been a mod yet, it is because you haven’t got the mod’s attention. You tried to get their attention by making a moderator application. That was the mistake you had made.
To get a mod’s attention, you need to be active on forums/ingame. I know that you have been trying to do so for a long time but to no avail, therefore, I sympatise with you. You could have taken Bender’s advice.
Anyways, I dont see why you not being a mod would make you quit! I rarely see normal players (excluding mods) that even play from 2012, so I suggest you come back. Then, if you continue to help a lot, perhaps your moment will come. If you quit, you are just eliminating your chance of ever being part of the EC mod team.
Yes, you want a new wilderness. We all do! I want to start mining on a new land, not the old ones where x-rayers already stole the ores. We also wanted a bigger world for survival! Look at the donations at the left, they show how much people have been supporting the server. Born can increase the RAM if he gets more donations and he may increase the world border. Yes, there are a lot of players being mods that are quite new to the EC server. They never experience the times when the spawn was a Gigantic Tree, they didnt know what the previous hunger games maps were like. Small maps in bedrock casing…
But they were chosen by Born and the others for a very good reason, they are friendly and helpful. They have the morals that you and I do not have. Therefore, I try to learn from the other mods, help a ton on the forums and as of now, I only been promoted to mod on the Arenas server. Its a small step to being a full moderator of EC and Ive been making a lot of suggestions, maps and even made a new lobby to accomodate the increasing amount of players. I know you can strive for that too. You have way more experience on EC than any of us, why doesn’t the head mods select you? Well maybe you need to reflect on quitting EC. In a few years time, maybe you will come back. But there will be new mods. Maybe Macomatic, ADCK, Xavier etc.
But when that time comes, you may regret your decision. So think wisely.
I hope this will allow you to come back on EC, strive better for you and the other players.
