ALWAYS join a town and build in a town, DONT EVER build important stuff in the wilderness.
Check Dynamic Map when you are in the wilderness to monitor who is around you.
Be extra careful in the wilderness and try to save your stuff in chests otherwise people may kill and steal your stuff.
If you are a mayor ALWAYS have enough money to pay for your upkeep in town bank.
You can get a jumpstart fighting in Mob Arena to get money fast.
Once you get a town or a plot in a town I advise to build a farm underground so you can make money in the long run.
