If they don’t give you xp then it’s quite common. It isn’t a bug or a glitch.

EDIT: Sorry I was wrong, I just checked the wiki it is actually 0-2 Experience orbs

We did this because we think it was way too easy to obtain xp, we decided to make it harder.
